About the work

Prati Aestas reflects the resurgence of wildflower meadows in England, where over 95% of traditional meadows have been lost since the 1930s. Their restoration supports biodiversity – creating vital habitats for pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Species such as oxeye daisies, cow parsley and knapweed are suggested through layered, interwoven forms, echoing the natural structure of meadow planting. Growth appears spontaneous, yet follows a quiet order that feels quietly profound.

The work reflects both the delicacy and resilience of these environments…and the value of allowing nature the space to return.
