Andromeda

‘Andromeda’ is inspired by a visit to Andromeda Botanic Gardens in Barbados, where community, diversity and inclusion are being actively championed and thoughtfully developed.

We were led through the garden by its director, just the two of us, gaining a rare and personal insight into a space that felt close to paradise. In intense heat, the garden revealed itself slowly, with dense, interwoven plant life creating a sense of immersion, where growth felt abundant and fiercely competitive. It was just beautiful!

The work reflects this environment through warm, saturated colours, holding the heat of the day while layered forms suggest the richness, tension and vitality of tropical growth.
