‘Parella’ is inspired by the intricate surface patterns of lichen and liverworts, where small, repeated forms build into complex, mosaic-like structures.

Lichens are a symbiotic partnership between a fungus and algae, able to survive in exposed environments by drawing nutrients directly from the air. Their sensitivity to pollution makes them a natural indicator of air quality, thriving where the air is clean.
