Frequently these days I get asked to incorporate Coventry’s Cathedral into pieces of my work; I don’t know whether this is related to our recent City of Culture status or if people are just becoming more mindful of their heritage and roots. Anyway, this piece was no exception.
The family wanted lots of things represented and came to me with an abundance of concepts and ideas – wedding flowers, symbols of loved ones passed, family traditions and historical links with Malaysia.
The finished piece is a particular favourite. It is so rich in meaning and tells a real story..
